THREE fire crews were needed when waste food caught fire this afternoon.
The alert sounded at a commercial building near Barlby at lunchtime when smoke was seen coming from a grain dryer.
The firefighters from Selby and Tadcaster say a large amount of waste food product was ablaze.
They used hose reels to extinguish and damp down the fire.
