VITAL repairs to the ceiling of York Art Gallery are set to get the go-ahead.
A planning application is to be considered by a City of York Council committee, and officers have recommended the work be approved.
As reported in The Press, parts of the gallery are in severe disrepair. Chunks of plaster have fallen on to a suspended ceiling, and other parts are held on only by wallpaper.
The application has drawn no objections, and will go before councillors at noon on Tuesday, January 29.
