YORK'S star bowls player Zoe Eagles was a key player in a glorious triumph for England.
The 16-year-old Eagles was a member of the England team which annihilated the rest of the opposition in the Home International Series at the impressive Lincoln Indoor Bowls Centre.
England whitewashed opponents from Ireland, Wales and Scotland, winning every one of the four rinks in each match to capture the U25s' crown - the Acle Trophy - for the 12th consecutive season.
Ireland were first to feel the force, routed 164-24, before Wales were walloped 105-47 and then Scotland put to the sword 89-45 for a comprehensive conquest.
It was Eagles' second appearance in the U25s' indoor championships after last winter's debut was followed by her call-up to the full England U25s outdoor bowls team.
