leaders Heworth A' extended their unbeaten run in the York Conservative Clubs' Carlsberg UK Snooker League with a 5-2 win over their B' team - but only with the help of two black-ball results.
Jason Milner (29 break) won on the black after Keith Watkinson had fought back, and Richie Burdett put the A' team 2-0 up. Dave Birch reduced the arrears but Steve Burdett (27 break) and Mark Winskill (26 break) decided the match, the latter making it eight wins in a row to continue to lead the Willsden Steel "Player of the Year" competition.
Brian Birch gained the A' team's second point before Tony Tennyson doubled the final black to consolidate the score.
Bootham A' stay second after a 5-2 win over their B' team.
