YORK'S infamous toilets are finally condemned (Plug pulled on "splash palace", The Press, January 16).
The toilets built in Parliament Street and refurbished in 1992 are to close and be relocated to Silver Street, into yet another building, which has recently been refurnished and in need of renovating and repairs.
Come on city council, York city centre is in need of a new toilet building. If you can build new office blocks, then why not a new WC? Do something for the citizens of York, as well as tourists, or do I still need to go to the City Screen WC?
P J Markwick, Jockey Lane, York.
