Wake up York, wake up Fulford - why oh why didn't the public inquiry listen to the Green Party?
Denise Craghill of the Green Party sat through every single day of the public inquiry into the building of houses in Fulford, trying to get York to see sense.
Now look, scientists, planners - flooding in Fulford again.
Oh yes, we know the argument; raise Fulford Road and part of the A19 to prevent flooding. What about the fields where the houses are going to built, what about all the other Fulford properties?
Look at Knavesmire, this morning completely flooded. You could raise the road running through it, but Knavesmire would still be flooded. Is it too late to listen, is it too late to stop this senseless building? People of York, stand up for your city. Stop this senseless building now.
