REVENGE was sweet for Lady Lumley's School basketball team as they won the area under-15s tournament at Pindar School.
The Pickering school side lost to Ryedale School in the group stages, before beating Malton 19-2 and Whitby School 10-9 to earn a place in the final.
Pitted against Ryedale once again, Lady Lumley's reorganised their defence and adopted a more focused approach to triumph 8-4 in an exciting, hard-fought finale to the tournament.
Captain Tom Brickman led from the front for Lady Lumley's, while there was some fine rebounding from Lyle King and Tom Fenwick. Will Frazer also played a key role, scoring two late baskets to secure the final victory.
Meanwhile, the school's Year 7 hockey team drew 0-0 with Malton School.
The school gained two victories on the netball court, beating Norton 28-2 and Malton 25-3.
There were impressive performances from Emma Lund, Mia Hall, Meg Brown and Mel Sharpe.
