Due to the deluge, only one York FA Under-19s Football League game was played.
But it allowed leaders Fulford to get back to winning ways with a 5-0 victory over New Earswick.
Fulford were awarded a penalty in the first half but New Earswick goalkeeper Joe Barker brought off a tremendous save to keep the score at 0-0.
However, just before half-time Fulford took the lead with a Danny Penrose shot from 12 yards.
Early in the second half, Lee Stewart increased the Fulford lead from the penalty spot before goals followed from a Penrose solo run, plus another penalty converted by Niall Kirkby and a final goal by Sam Harrison to confirm a much-improved performance by Fulford.
Fulford central defender Harry Atkinson was the man of the match.
