DAREDEVIL Dunnington School footballers have won the honour of representing the schools of York and North Yorkshire in the English Schools' FA North of England Finals in Blackburn in spring.
The school bagged its prized position after beating Huntington School - with whom they came through the initial York tournament - 2-0 in the final of the North Yorkshire finals of the Cade Trophy. On target were Year 5 pupil Jack Spofforth and goal-machine Theo Ainslie.
In reaching the final, both schools saw off opposition from Scarborough and other areas.
The North of England finals will be on Saturday, March 1.
