PROPOSED post office closures were the topic of discussion, when York's MP met with Postwatch boss Judith Donovan.
Ms Donovan, the watchdog's northern chairman, met Hugh Bayley to discuss the possible closure of three branches in his constituency.
Mr Bayley said: "I told her I wanted Postwatch to oppose the entire closure proposal for York. I believe Post Office Ltd's consultation was fundamentally flawed".
He said postal chiefs had failed to show that if branches did close, other ones nearby could cope with the extra demand.
