WELCOME news today that four new NHS dental practices are up and running in North Yorkshire.
It means almost 700 patients have been allocated an NHS dentist in the last three months.
But it remains that a further 1,800 in our area are still without care and face going private.
We applaud the progress made by the North Yorkshire and York Primary Care Trust so far. But as the statistics show, there is still a long way to go.
