A YORK band has given its first live performance of its new single, which has been dedicated to our Guardian Angels Appeal.
Members of the band Comfort Zone are donating every penny from every sale of the single to our appeal - which aims to raise life-saving high- dependency facilities for children at York Hospital.
The song, which is called Guardian Angel, was performed in front of more than 150 people at Next Generation, in Hull Road, York.
Vocalist Richard Hardcastle said: "It's the first single that Comfort Zone has released and we all feel very proud.
"It's a song about hope and we would love people to buy it in their hundreds because all the money couldn't be going to a better cause.
"As parents, we feel for other parents who have to travel miles to another hospital to be with their children because they can't get treated in York."
Downloads of the single cost £2 and are available by logging on to www.comfortzonetheband.com CDs are also being sold for £2.50 from the pharmacies in Badger Hill and Dunnington, the WRVF shop at York Hospital, Next Generation Club, in Hull Road, York, Peter Bebb Insurance, in Huntington Road, York, and the reception desk at The Press offices in Walmgate, York.
