The only success came from Barry Harrison's rink, who had an excellent 21-14 victory over Joe Ciplinski's team.
York kept their interest alive with an 81-78, 12 points to six victory over fourth-placed North Cave thanks to both home rinks winning.
Geoff Walker's team opened a gap with a seven on the tenth end to lead 15-5 and went on to win 25-12.
Eric Hodgson's rink had a wobbly period when they went from 19-1 after ten ends to 21-17 with two ends to play, though a pair of twos gave them a 25-17 victory.
