All lanes have now reopened on the A1M north approaching Bramham - but National Highways Yorkshire reports there are still five-mile tailbacks and 50 minute days.
Three of the four northbound lanes of the motorway beween junction 47 of the M1 at Parlington and Junction 44 of the A1(M) approaching Bramham were closed following a multi-vehicle crash this morning.
They have now been reopened, but the delays and tailbacks continue.
National Highways: Yorkshire has tweeted: "All lanes have now reopened on the #A1M north between the #M1 J47 and #A1M J44 following the earlier accident.
"There are 50 min delays on approach with 5 miles of congestion so please allow extra time for your journey, however these will begin to ease."
