UPDATE: Body found in search for missing Brompton, Northallerton man.
AN URGENT appeal has been launched to help find a man who has gone missing in North Yorkshire.
Police say they are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Matthew Newbould.
The North Yorkshire force are searching for the 31-year-old who was last seen leaving his address in the village of Brompton near Northallerton at 7am yesterday morning (July 20).
A police spokesman said: "Officers are carrying out extensive enquiries to locate him and are now appealing for any information which could assist with their search.
"Matthew is described as a white male, approximately 6 foot tall and has a bald head.
"He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, blue shorts and white trainers. Matthew also has several tattoos."
Police are now appealing for anyone who may have seen Matthew, or who has information about his whereabouts, to contact them on 101. If you have an immediate sighting, please dial 999.
