SCORES of properties in a York suburb were left without power for several hours today.
Northern Powergrid said this morning that electricity supplies had been affected by an unexpected problem with cables or equipment in the Hull Road area.
Streets affected include Wolviston Avenue and Broughton Way.
The company originally estimated supplies would be restored by noon, but by 12.55pm, 70 were still without electricity, with an estimate of 1pm for restoration of supplies.
At 1.20pm, the company said: "We're currently reviewing how long it will take to get your power back on."
But the company's website indicated later that supplies were restored to all properties by mid-afternoon.
