POLICE have recovered some historic items stolen from a church outside York.
Following the investigation and public appeal in July into the theft from Bilton-in-Ainsty, between York and Wetherby, the items have been returned to their rightful owner.
The stolen items included a 16th century pewter water vessel.
Here is The Press’ reporting of the theft.
Officers investigating the theft have issued CCTV stills of a man they wish to speak to, as he may be able to provide important information to assist them with their ongoing enquiries.
