A MAJOR road through a North Yorkshire town was closed after a crash.
Earlier today (October 23) North Yorkshire Police say they closed Scott Road in Selby town centre after emergency crews were called to an accident.
The crash involved a cyclist and a 4x4 vehicle.
It happened just before 10.40am and resulted in the cyclist, a 22-year-old man, being taken to hospital by ambulance with head, leg and arm injuries.

The man’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The driver of a grey VW Tiguan, a 58-year-old local man, has been arrested in connection with the collision. Following questioning, he has been released under investigation.
Scott Road remained closed between the leisure centre and Flaxley Road until 12.20pm while the emergency services worked at the scene.
Witnesses to the collision or motorist with relevant dash-cam footage are urged to make a report as soon as possible.
