REPORTS have been sent to police after a malicious call to firefighters in a York suburb.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service say they responded to a 999 call at about 7.21pm last night (October 24) to Cornlands Road in Acomb.
But when they got there it became obvious that the call was malicious.

A service spokesman said: "Crews from Acomb and York responded to reports of a property on fire.
”This resulted in a false alarm caused by a malicious call by a child in a phone box.
”Further details were passed over the police to investigate.”
