POLICE say a missing teenager has been found safe and well.
As The Press reported earlier today an urgent appeal went out this morning (November 27) for help to find a teenager missing from home in North Yorkshire.
North Yorkshire Police wanted information to help find 16-year-old Elsie who was reported missing by her family in Selby just after 11pm on Sunday (November 26) and she was last seen by a friend outside Home Bargains at the Market Cross Shopping Centre at around 10.45pm.
Officers contacted all known family and friends in the effort to confirm Elsie is safe and well.
Bus and train operators wre also supporting the search, but it is believed she will still be in the Selby area.
However, due to the cold weather conditions and that Elsie was thought to have no money, concerns were growing for her safety.
But police now say she has been found safe and well and they have called off the search.
