Update: Two men in 20s killed in light plane crash in North Yorkshire village
Emergency services are dealing with an incident involving a light aircraft near a North Yorkshire village.
Police, paramedics and firefighters are on the scene near Thorganby, south of Wheldrake.
An air ambulance and a helicopter belonging to the coast guard are also reported to have landed nearby.
North Yorkshire Police said the incident was reported at around 9.50am today (Sunday, July 28).
The force has not specified what the incident is.
“We remain on the scene along with other emergency services, and further updates will follow,” a police spokesperson said.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service said paramedics are on the scene after receiving an "emergency call" at 9.50am.
"A number of our resources have responded to the incident," a service spokesperson said.
