Two people were taken to hospital after a serious crash on the A64 between York and Malton.
As reported by The Press, emergency services were called to the A64, near the Slingsby turn off, at 2.57pm today (Thursday, August 8).
A North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Crews from Malton, York and Acomb responded to a two vehicle road traffic collision were two persons were trapped in the vehicles.
"Crews extricated the casualties and handed them into the care of ambulance crews to be transported to hospital for treatment."
Traffic was reported to be queuing for two miles following the crash.
