THREE fires have been started deliberately in a York suburb.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service say they were called out twice in quick succession to Acomb on Tuesday night (August 13).
Firstly at 8.47pm Acomb crew fire fighters put out a pile of grass cuttings set alight by youths.
Then at 9.31pm Acomb attended a second pile of grass cuttings on fire and on arrival confirmed two separate fires.
A service spokesman said: “The cause of the fires are believed to be deliberate. Hose reel used.”
