Thirsk and Malton MP Kevin Hollinrake has launched a business survey to help his work in Westminster and build a local business directory to help local people shop local and support our high streets.
The MP, who co-founded the Hunters estate agents, was previously in business for 30 years.
He said: “So I am acutely aware of the toil and sacrifice of business owners across the country and in Thirsk and Malton.
"Let’s not pretend the last few years have been easy for independent traders and the High Street but with the support put in place by the previous Government, I believe much brighter days lie ahead.

"As we look to the future, I am keen to understand what more support businesses in Thirsk and Malton need to thrive and what more I can do to encourage my constituents to shop local.
"I hope business owners will take time to complete the survey to help ensure we continue to have a thriving business scene across Thirsk and Malton.”
The recently-appointed Shadow Secretary of State for Business and Trade has already visited dozens of local businesses to advertise the survey and plans to visit many more. To take part, go to: https://www.kevinhollinrake.org.uk/thirsk-and-malton-small-business-survey
