A new York restaurant is enjoying a slice of success since it opened in the city centre last month.

Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana says it has had a ‘stellar’ first month with more than 8,000 diners visiting its restaurant in the former Shoe Zone in High Ousegate.

The pizzeria launched with a 3,000 free pizza giveaway and reports a brilliant reception from visitors and locals, adding to neighbouring restaurants in Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester.

The 96-cover restaurant features a relaxed dining space, an open kitchen and a private ‘courtyard’ for up to 25 people.
