Two York colleagues leapt out of an aeroplane at 10,000 feet to raise money for a good cause.
Ella Bond and Shona Evans, who work at the Chocolate Works care home in Bishopthorpe Road, skydived in aid of dementia charity Alzheimer’s Society.
They raised £2,260 for the charity through the leap in Bridlington.
It was the first time the pair had skydived, but they said the importance of the cause overcame any nerves.
Shona said: “My great nana lived with dementia for over 10 years, and we sadly lost her four years ago – so the charity is very close to my heart.”

Ella added: “We’ve both been touched by all the residents we have cared for whilst working at the Chocolate Works and wanted to raise money to give help and hope for those living with dementia and remember those we have sadly lost.
“We have built special and unique relationships with each resident and their families over the years and appreciate all the support we have been getting in the run up to our skydive.
“The generous donations from colleagues, friends, residents and families haven’t gone unnoticed and will help to fund vital support and life-changing treatments.”
