YOUTHS have started a fire in a York suburb.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service say they were called at 7.35pm last night (August 18) after reports of a fire in grassland off Thanet Road in Acomb.
As service spokesman said: “Acomb fire crew used a knapsack sprayer to extinguish an area of grassland of approximately 10m across which had been set alight by youths.”
