MORE details are emerging of what shoppers can expect as part of the biggest outdoor store in Europe when it opens in York this Friday.

The Go Outdoors York store opens in the former John Lewis store at Vangarde Shopping Park, which opened in 2014 and closed during the pandemic, remaining empty until now.

The replacement store features with a range of concessions and brands available inside.

Among them, White Stores will be showcasing its extensive collection  of outdoor furniture and garden accessories.

Their range includes everything from parasols, pergolas, soft furnishings, lighting accessories, BBQ and heating options, including outdoor fire pits, floor-standing heaters and coffee table heaters and more.

A selection of product ranges will be available on day one at the concession area inside the store.

The new concession will be White Stores' 6th location and its first in the north. The brand already has stores located in Essex, Surrey, Hertfordshire, Milton Keynes and Cambridge.

White Stores will be joining 29 other top brands in the record-breaking store, which boasts an astounding 125,000sq. Ft of space. Other brands that will have concession areas at the store include Yeti, Garmin, Adidas Terrex and World of Weber.

In addition to Friday’s opening, there will be a Grand Opening Weekend during September 7 and 8. GO Outdoors brand ambassador and TV star Helen Skelton will host the event, and will kick off a weekend-long celebration featuring live DJs, face painting stalls and, on Saturday, free goodie bags for the first 500 customers through the door.
