'Fantastic news that M&S's toilets are open after refit'
IT'S fantastic news for the residents and visitors to York that M&S's brand new toilets are up and running after their recent refit.
The people with weak bladders will all let out a huge sigh of relief after using the facilities.
It's to be hoped that they have an opening ceremony with a strung-out toilet roll instead of a ribbon and the man most desperate to use the facilities to officially open the toilets.
The Big Issue salesman outside the Parliament Street entrance must be so desperate to go that he spends all day permanently jumping up and down and writhing in apparent desperation to use the loo!

Reduced hours at Hazel Court leading to more traffic and fly tipping
HAVING suffered a queue so long on James Street that I turned around to Hull Road my sympathy is with Dominic Shortle and the other local businesses in that area that are an asset to the city.
The combination of the new Wednesday closure of the Hazel Court household waste recycling centre off James Street and the green bin subscription has not only affected total traffic levels and made Hazel Court busier on its opening days, but led to more fly tipping.
Ben Grabham says he knows people are concerned but we are not just very concerned - we are all very angry and ticked off by a council that cuts services, increases taxes and spends well beyond its means.
There is money for bollards and traffic schemes that get cancelled,.
The staff at Hazel Court are with the public on the issue - they get my sympathy too as they suffer our criticism.
A council that asks the public for financial advice is not fit to serve, the best way to save money is not to spend it, read waste it!
Any cutbacks on wages for councillors and staff ?
