Firefighters were called to two fires in the open in a York suburb.
A crew extinguished the small fires in Acomb yesterday evening (Friday, August 23).
They were called to the the first fire at about 6.45pm and put it out using a knapsack sprayer.
But around 20 minutes later they were called to another small fire in the open near the previous one.
“The fire was out upon their arrival and no intervention was required,” a North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said.
