UPDATE: North Yorkshire Police has cancelled its appeal for a missing 31-year-old man from Cumbria.
No further explanation was provided by the force and we will provide any updated information as and when we receive it.
The force had earlier said the missing man was last believed to be in Thornton-le-Street near Thirsk at around 9.30pm yesterday (August 25).
It had suggested he may have travelled to York.
