A cyclist was taken to hospital with serious head injuries after a man and woman attacked him in York city centre.
North Yorkshire Police said the assault happened in Lead Mill Lane, off Piccadilly, at around 6.40pm on Saturday, August 24.
“The victim, a man in his 40s, was riding a cycle and was attacked by a man and a woman, believed to have travelled to and from the area in a white vehicle,” said a spokesperson for the force.

The victim suffered serious head injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment but was later discharged, the force added.
Police are appealing to anyone walking in the area at the time who saw the assault, motorists, the cyclist, the suspects or a white vehicle, or has captured the incident on dashcam, to get in touch.
Officers would also like to hear from anyone with any other information.
