Conversation, sparkling wine, strawberries, plus music and comedy brought a classy close to summer in York’s city centre over the Bank Holiday weekend.
More than 100 people packed the historic Merchant Adventurers’ Hall garden for a spectacular garden party on Sunday hosted by city events company Nobel Happenings.
This first such garden party event kicked off with guests enjoying sparkling afternoon tea on the lawn to a string quartet, before the York Latino Band picked up the pace, delivering a great time for them all.
Alongside the live music, guests enjoyed impromptu comedy from The Halls of Ridiculous and a game of croquet.
