EMERGENCY crews have been called in after a crash in North Yorkshire.

The county’s fire and rescue service were called to a crash at the weekend near Sand Hutton.

Station manager Bob Hoskins was at the scene and is due to retire from the service in a matter of days after 30 years.

He said: “My last weekend on call for North Yorkshire Fire Service after 30 years service.

“It’s been a busy one with three crashes and a child trapped in an escalator.

“Thanks to the control room team and the crews I have worked with, over all those years.

“Heading to my retirement on Tuesday.”
