POLICE in York want to trace a man who is believed to have tried to get an elderly resident to pay him money.
North Yorkshire Police say a man visited a home in Keith Avenue, Huntington and requested money from an elderly resident.
It happened between 11.04am and 11.36am on Tuesday, July 23 and an investigation is already under way.
A police spokesman said: "We have now released this CCTV image as we believe the man pictured may have important information.
"Please email becca.quinn@northyorkshire.police.uk if you recognise him or have any other information that could help our investigation.
"Alternatively, you can call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for PC 1098 Quinn, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their website."
