'Once upon a time Labour looked after pensioners'
THE voting of York’s two MPs on the issue of winter fuel payments is a sad reflection of current politics.
Once upon a time Labour was a party that looked after pensioners.
Now it looks after illegal migrants who have made no contribution to the country and not paid a single penny into the system.

PM making the UK a 'laughing stock'
SO Keir Starmer has now said that any MP who votes against him regarding the winter fuel payments will be ousted from the Labour Party? Is that a form of bullying?
There must be so many MPs who have elderly relatives who will struggle.
Our PM seems to want to make the UK vulnerable by downsizing the military.
If, and heaven forbid, there is a war, what happens then? He badmouthed the Conservative Party for leaving a black hole in the finances. So his idea was to cut the military, make the pensioners suffer, but welcome those travelling across the Channel with open arms.
He is making the UK a laughing stock now, we are a soft touch.
We make our own suffer for him to become chummy with other nations.
Plus at the moment his latest crusade is to stop the high prices fans are paying for Oasis tickets. Really? It's about time that KS was booted out - after all in an ordinary job if you didn't achieve what you were paid to do you would be collecting your P45 (yes, I'm that old).

Starmer 'most hated politician in history'
THE British parliament led by Keir Starmer showed yesterday that the tough decisions he had to make will be on the old and vulnerable members of British society.
He won because he has a majority of members in Parliament who are mostly made up of rookie MPs and he bullied them to vote for the bill to stop winter fuel payments.
All he succeeded in doing was to alienate the populous and let his rookie MPs take the flack in their constituencies.
He achieved in one vote the honour of being the leader of the most hated Government in British history in eight short weeks of total chaos.
As head of the Government he has become the most hated politician in history. In a very short time his rookies will find out from their constituencies the feelings of the public and use their common sense to propose a vote of no confidence and rid the country of this leader whose sole purpose is to become a dictator.
But should the people on the streets show their dissent he will have them arrested as right wing hooligans.

Question for our PM
WHY should we be surprised Keir Starmer is often accused of being a hypocrite when in 2017 as a leading member of Labour’s shadow cabinet he claimed that the proposed Tory cuts to pensioners' heating allowance could kill 4,000 OAPs.
Could he therefore explain what’s changed to ensure the same number will not die following his decision to do exactly what he vehemently opposed seven years ago.
