A body was recovered by police in a woodland area of a York village.
Officers found the body of a man in his 40s down a bridleway in Riverside Walk, Nether Poppleton, on the morning of Monday, September 2, North Yorkshire Police said.
They were called to the scene shortly before 7am following reports.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner, a force spokesperson said.
They added: “We attended the scene and sadly discovered found the body of a man in his 40s. The man was identified and his next of kin were informed.”
