A man has been taken to hospital after an assault in a York nature reserve.
North Yorkshire Police said a man in his 20s was assaulted in Clifton Backies Nature Reserve, Water Lane, at around 10.30am on Tuesday, September 12.
A police spokesperson added: "The victim, a man in his 20s, was assaulted by a suspect who was riding a bicycle.
"The suspect is described as a white man, slim build, aged approximately mid 20s and was wearing a grey/dark tracksuit.
"Following on from the incident, the victim required treatment at hospital."
They’re now appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward and speak to them.
