York is set for an extra special statue featuring a treasured visitor from Darkest Peru.

The city is one of 20 around the country who will receive the statues to mark the release of the film Paddington in Peru on November 8.

STUDIOCANAL, who has produced the movie, says the statues will be erected in early October in partnership with York BID.

Each crafted and painted statue will sport the bear’s signature red hat, blue duffle coat, and, naturally, a marmalade sandwich in paw.
