York is set to be hit by heavy rain on Monday as the Met Office issues a yellow weather warning.
The warning is in place from midnight until Tuesday, with forecasters expecting rain in York throughout the whole day and into the night.
There is a risk of delays or cancellations to train and bus services as well as power cuts and flash flooding while the yellow warning is in place, a Met Office spokesperson said.
It comes as a yellow warning for thunderstorms has been issued for southern England and Wales today (Sunday, September 22).

But forecasters do not expect these storms to reach York. Instead, the expert say there will be clouds changing to sunny intervals by lunchtime with temperatures sitting at around 15C.
Later in the week, temperatures in York are expected to fall to around 10C with more rain forecast on Wednesday and Thursday.
“We are expecting a window of quieter conditions for many places on Tuesday before wet and windy, ‘autumnal’, weather once again moves across the UK from the North Atlantic,” a Met Office spokesperson said.
