Part of a York city centre street has been closed while emergency repairs take place.
Goodramgate, south of its junction with Deangate, has been closed to traffic "due to danger arising from an HVM bollard maintenance issue", the council says.
The road was first closed at 2pm today and will be shut until the end of Thursday (September 26) or "when the danger has been rectified - whichever is earlier" with traffic signs in place.
Additionally, the 'one way’ system in Goodramgate is suspended on the rest of the street during the period of physical closure - allowing for two-way traffic flow.
A spokesperson for City of York Council said: “This is to ensure the safety of route users.”
