A driver has been trapped in their car - which was submerged in floodwater.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service responded to an incident in Whitby at 7.21am today (September 27), where a car "had become partially submerged in flood water".
Crews from Whitby and Lythe used a winch to retrieve the vehicle, as "the occupants were unable to get out of it".
