A new bakery and bistro is coming to a busy York shopping street.
Long-standing Shambles Market traders, Krep, will be moving to a permanent site in 52 Fossgate.
The building, next to the Blue Bell, was formerly home to Bowler Vintage - which closed last year.
Krep has been trading in York since its move to SPARK, which was first announced in 2017. Since then, the five-star crêperie found a home in Shambles Market.
Now, they hope to open a bistro and micro bakery. A licensing application submitted to City of York Council bid for permission to serve alcohol, and have a premises open seven days a week, until 11pm.
The application says that alcohol will be served as an "ancillary" to food, it won't start serving alcohol until 11am, but will open from 7am.
No opening date has been announced yet, the licensing application is open to objections until October 23.
