An event in York is to celebrate the work of poet WH Auden.
York-born Auden, who later moved to the USA, will be in the spotlight at the Basement in City Screen, off Coney Street, on Saturday, October 19.
There will poetry performances, as well as music and theatre.
“Expect the unexpected,” say the organisers, Navigators Art and Performance.
All the work will be written, inspired or influenced by Auden, one of the greatest poets of the 20th century.
There will be discussions at 6pm with performances taking place from 7pm.

Richard Kitchen, a founder of Navigators Art and Performance, said: “This show goes way beyond a poetry event.
“We're taking things into new territory with songs and physical performances as well as new writing, and it's still evolving in interesting directions.
“Whether people are Auden fans or only know that poem in Four Weddings and a Funeral – or even if they don't – they're in for a treat and some surprises.
“We're very excited by it and we're certain the audience will be too.”
Tickets are £10 and available from: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/navigators-art-performance
