Police made an arrest in York – as officers ramped up patrols across the city centre.
A heavy presence of officers was seen throughout the city centre today (Thursday, October 3) as part of North Yorkshire Police’s Project Servator, aiming to “disrupt a range of criminal activity, including terrorism, while providing a reassuring presence for the public”.
One arrest was made during the day in York, according to the force.
A police spokesperson said: "As the deployments continue through the winter months, day or night please take the time to talk to our trained officers whilst you’re out.”
