Comedian and actor Ricky Gervais has visited the Ellers Farm Distillery near York, which he co-owns.
The Stamford Bridge distillery is the birthplace of the award-winning Dutch Barn Vodka, which is made solely from 100 per cent British apples.
Ricky’s visit on Wednesday follows the star becoming a co-owner of Ellers Farm Distillery since November 2023.
Since then, he has been delighting fans with a series of funny social media spots promoting Dutch Barn Vodka in ways the distillery says “subvert the category norms and rules - staying true to the brand’s ethos of ‘Positively Different’.”

During the visit Ricky posed with distillery staff, a picture of which has already received more than 200,000 views on X (formerly Twitter).
Ricky said: “As I was in York, I popped into Dutch Barn HQ to make sure they were all working hard. They weren’t. They were taking selfies with their idiot boss.”
The previous night, the comedian was performing at the Barbican, as part of his Mortality stand-up tour.
He also said: “So glad I kicked off my Mortality tour in historic York. Beautiful city. Beautiful crowd. Cheers!”
