UPDATE: LNER are reporting that services between York and Doncaster are no longer affected by the theft of the theft of signalling cables.

However, the rail operator has said that due to a points failure at Selby, LNER services between Hull and Doncaster in both directions are being disrupted, with their trains are operating on a diversionary route between these stations and are currently not calling at Selby.

Earlier today, trains were currently delayed in York due to theft of cables, a train operator has said.

York-based LNER said due to the theft between York and Doncaster, trains had to run at reduced speeds on all lines.

Network Rail is reporting delays of up to 15 minutes due to the theft of the cables and is reporting that services on LNER, Grand Central Trains and CrossCountry between York and Doncaster are affected.

We will bring more information when we get it.
