A York heritage centre is set to host a festive art exhibition.
Bar Convent Heritage Centre will host the exhibition, which is informed by the theme of 'Gifts of Christmas,' between November 28 and December 19.
The historic convent will be made festive by a Christmas tree and decorations, while "eye-popping art" will be on display as part of the exhibition - including a collection of digital art inspired by Viborg.
The exhibition will also include a glass cabinet featuring pop-punk tributes to the Book of Kells and the works of William Blake.
Local schools, including Our Lady Queen of Martyrs and St George's RC Primary, are creating fresh artwork this week inspired by the Gifts of Christmas theme, and their work will feature "insightful quotes."
Learners from Blueberry Academy and ESOL students from York College are also taking part.
Entry to the exhibition is priced at £7 for adults, £5 for concessions, and £2 for children, while children under six go free.
A family ticket costs £14.
The chapel and the Georgian Parlour can be visited free of charge.
Last admission is at 4pm.
The Bar Convent, which was established in 1686, has a claim to be the oldest living convent in the UK.
The convent was founded at a time when it was illegal to be Catholic, explained a spokesperson.
The founders were a group of religious sisters now known as the Congregation of Jesus.
Foundress Mary Ward is said to have pioneered the idea of religious women working as missionaries.
