A family friendly event is coming to York - all in aid of a good cause.
York Mind has announced its first-ever 'Mental Elf' 5km run, set to take place at York Knavesmire.
The event will see participants dressed up as elves while raising funds for better mental health in York.

At 1pm on Sunday, December 15, the run will begin. However, participants can take part in the festive-themed event village from midday.
York Mind said that the event welcomes participants of all abilities and ages. "Whether you prefer walking or running, this 5km route offers something for everyone," they said.
York Mind added that children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
