Home heating firm SpeedComfort has shared details of its survey regarding cold home temperatures.
The firm conducted a survey among 2,000 UK customers in September 2024.
The survey found that 44 per cent of parents were worried about their children being cold at home when temperatures drop.
Nineteen per cent of Yorkshire residents apparently said they could not keep their house warm.
Thirty-nine percent of parents said they had to put their children to bed in a cold room, while 34 per cent were concerned about the impact of their house's temperature on their family's health on cold days.
Wouter Heuterman, CEO of SpeedComfort, said: "With the cost of living crisis continuing to affect so many families across Yorkshire, it’s heartbreaking to see that so many residents are worried about keeping their families safe and warm at home this winter.
"The cold has a huge impact on how we feel both physically and emotionally.
"For families with children and vulnerable people, the impact of cold temperatures is even further exacerbated.
"So, if you’re worried about the health of your family this winter, it’s well worth considering alternative ways of keeping your home warm when temperatures drop."
